It had not been three months since Aiden and I married and settled in the remote Passview Western Territories of Braeyork.

My husband, Aiden worked harder than anyone I had ever known, setting up the shipyard docks where he had invested some of the gold gifted to him by his father, King Rolf.

But there was a problem at the shipyards. His master builder Douglas had lost interest in his work, started drinking ale and whisky and talked about sailing somewhere very far away.

“Maybe he’s having trouble at home with his wife?” I asked as I teased Aiden after dinner one night, massaging his shoulders and letting my hands wander.

“Elva, do you think maybe his wife is not taking care of him?” Aiden moaned. “The way my wife likes to do with me every single night?”

“Why don’t you bring Douglas here to dine with us?” I suggested as I opened his shirt. “Maybe I can help you find out what’s going on...”
